Kanyakumari is a fantastic place to visit especially for watching sunrise. I have been crazy...sorry cazier.....hmmmm craziest for beaches. God knows how much I love them! Did not leave any one of the beaches in my trip to Trivandrum and Kanyakumari. Let pictures talk now.

Trivandrum - 20th March 2012
I am in a hotel with my parents having a soothing time. We explored different places here with the help of a cab-driver whom I could find with google search. I did some research on must visit places via google and friends belonging to Trivandrum. The biggest surprise was none could tell me that there's something called 'Kairela backwaters' but the driver. I think I will let pictures do the rest of the talking about the places we visited.

Purple - that's my colour!
It's not easy to get what you want at exactly the moment you want it. Well, I am talking in terms of shopping. Yes, confession of a shopaholic. I love purple and I have dresses, shawl, sandals etc. and I had (mind the word - had) a pair of purple shoes as well. I am enjoying my vacation in Trivandrum (SouthIndia) with mom, dad and sis. We happened to visit Kanyakumari today. Purpose can be clear from the click below:
It was awesome, stupendous, thrilling, exciting. I remember we two (sis and me) started hooting as soon as someone said, 'Hey, there comes the lord'. Excitedly, I went near the water to have a closer view and offer my prayers at the same time. I did keep my shoes at the least accessible corner beneath a rock. (at least that was what I assumed) My sis asked me to click a photo for her while offering prayer to the lord and no sooner did I pose for that than I heard 'Alas! Mukul (my pet name) your shoes and chappals of mom'. Oh no!!! I did see my the left shoe being taken away by the ocean. The waves moved to and fro and tried kicking back the shoe but only to take away with the next wave.
Discriminating aspect was: my mom's chappals were thrown back on a rock and she was quick enough to jump on that slippery rock and get it back. Whereas mine was never even closer to the rock. :( Sis got swiftly in action, looking at my drooped face and was excited to go into deep waters and get that back. I had to hold her hand with all the energy I could summon up in the morning and at that time. Mom, sis and dad tried giving all possible reasons as to why the shoe was taken away by the ocean to lighten up my face. I certainly would have been more sad had I been alone.
Dad was of the opinion, that it will be thrown back but only till the time, I could see my shoe floating high on the waves far away from us.
Ahhh!! what to do with the right part? Had I to bring it back as it was my favourite pair of shoes or rather the most favourite one among the shoes I have. Well, I untied the laces of the right shoe and with a strange and emotional feeling, ( I know it sounds weird, but at that moment I was emotional) silently put the other part of the shoe into the water as well.
Well, on a chirpy note, Kanyakumari is famous for stones and I bought every possible chain from there.

Summer vacation
Yeah, it's that time of the year again when work has exhausted me and I need to rejuvenate. I am thankful that whenever I feel exhausted, I get a chance of breaking the usual routine. Last week was kind of weird with no specific reason. This week seems enchanting and promising, with me meeting my parents after five months in Kerela. I have already been to Kerela but not with parents. I always wanted to be there with them but my dad seems to have a hectic schedule and I think only I have hectic schedules :). Aaah..and let me add that thanks to my Sis who will be joining TCS in Trivandrum which is bringing my parents to this part of India.
The best part of touring with parents is, I can act and be the complete freak, crazy, silly and mad Kumud again. I can't act the same way anywhere else and with anyone else. I have planned to act completely silly this time again. Good that my dad doesn't work in IT. We have different things to talk. My mom thinks IT has made me a freaking girl. I don't mind as long as they don't mind.
In this beautiful, sophisticated coffee shop there are no plug points and hence no charging laptop.
So, what exactly are my plans. Take lot of pics, three days should be enjoyable enough so that I don't miss parents for another few months until I see them again. I wanted to visit more places but dad has limited that with his plans to return back much earlier than I would have expected.
I will go and see them and I know I will not stop talking about everything that has happened in last five months, until I get exhausted.
Usually it happens that I reach and parents come at airport/station to pick me up to home. The excitement to see them is so obvious that many a times people around ask me, are you seeing them after a long time? Oh Yes!
I think I will take pics and update this blog. I am excited to see sunrise at Kanyakumari, I have been reading about the place since my childhood. As a child, vacation never enchanted me and I always refused to go out whereas my younger sis always travelled at any possible occasion. No wonder she has seen more places than me. I must admit she is even more pragmatic than I am.
I hope we also get a chance to visit Alleppy backwaters. Will keep updating the blog.
